Juliana is the aunt of George Tesman. She is also known as Aunt Julie. Hedda greatly dislikes her with a passion. The relationship Hedda has with Aunt Julie affects the one she has with both George Tesman and their maid, Berta. Berta was the previous maid of Aunt Julie, so you know there are gonna be problems in this little square of conflict, all caused by Hedda, they got goin for themselves. Hedda even threatens Berta with her job, just because of her affiliation with George and Juliana.

i'd have to disagree kidd.
LOL.
cuz i think that Hedda doesn't really hate or dislike Aunt Julie because i mean..idk. i just think that's impossible.
Cuz what has Aunt Julie done? nothing..really..i mean she's a sweet old lady.
But then again..i THINK i might see what your getting at.

the relationship between Julie and Hedda is a special one because Aunt Julie genuinely wants to get along with Hedda, while Hedda just wants to be mean to her.

I here to break it down.... Hedda dislikes Julie because she is everything Hedda cant be: a mother figure who understands the concept of nurturing and love. Hedda wants all the power to herself.....simple....09

Rashad you could argue it the other way around also. Maybe Hedda doesn't like Aunt Juliana because she is not like Hedda would want her to be. Maybe Hedda's idea of a woman should be more powerful and controlling. When Hedda looks at Aunt Julinana she probably sees the typical weak woman.

Well, NeNe. I don't necessarily think that Hedda dislikes Aunt Julie, herself. I think she mostly dislikes the character Aunt Julie portrays. Aunt Julie is like the stereotypic women, and Hedda is the complete opposite. I think Hedda meerly wishes that Aunt Julie was more like her.
