I found the deaths of both Hedda and Lovborg quite eccentric. The fact that they happened back to back i find ironic. I'm not too sure if Eilert killed himself or if it was Hedda, but if he did, then it was because he was basically fed up with life. Seeing how Hedda destroyed his manuscript in which he put much work into was probably what could have pushed him to his limit. As for Hedda, she had nothing to do with her life regardless so i guess she thought suicide was the answer for her to escape from her means of boredom.

I don't think Hedda's suicide was a result of boredom, but because she learns of the ugliness of Ejlert's death, she is disgusted and also she was disappointed by Tesman's joy. I believe Hedda commits suicide in the belief that there is no escape from a disappointing life.
Mohammed is rite ....this is like my 5th comment on a post dealn wit suicide. her suicide is not because of boredom but because there is no other means of escape and death was the only way....sounds familiar huh....?
I agree with Lovborg killing himself because he was fed up with life and couldnt go anymore but Hedda killing herself out of coredom i couldnt see cause she was originally bored with Tesman. But She did kill herself because Lovborg had gone Tesman really never made a difference in her life and Brack had gained total control over her
